Fish Pond cafe is a great local restaurant. Their Chicken fried steak is the best available in the area. The regular menu one is big enough for two meals. The one available as a daily special is smaller and comes with two sides from the hot Table. It is a great lunch time value.

This place deserves more than just 5 stars. The food is fresh and made from scratch. The customer service is amazing. We felt so welcome when walking in and our food came out fast. The staff were even laughing together and enjoying themselves while working hard. We came here for a spring break trip and were on the hunt for a good restaurant near lake Conroe. We found that plus more. We will be back again soon.

Loved this place, it's old time, with fresh delicious food, good portions & best costumer service. Although it's been here awhile, the bathroom & restaurant are clean. You've got a try it! Full menu all day! Prices are so great especially in today's economy! Can't wait to come back & eat!

The food is always good, and the service is great. Don't let the outside fool you, it's old and rustic and historic. It's a must try and everyone feels welcomed.

Just ate here and I absolutely loved it here... the food was delicious..I tried grits for the first time and I really liked it!! Thank you for being so kind and amazing..I really like all the stuff to look at inside as well it's pretty cool.
